Drukhari Codex, Combat Patrol, and Lady Malice Revealed

Warhammer Update: Drukhari Codex, Combat Patrol Shift, and Lady Malice Revealed
Games Workshop has rolled out the latest for the Drukhari. The update brings a reworked Pain Token system, a Coven-focused Combat Patrol, and new miniatures that continue the army’s cruel style.
Pain Tokens
The system has been overhauled. You begin the battle with Pain Tokens, and certain characters such as an Archon, Succubus, or Haemonculus in a Realspace Raiders detachment add more at the start. Additional tokens can also be gained during play, such as when enemy units are destroyed or fail battleshock. These tokens are spent to activate unit-specific abilities that usually last for a phase.
There are still details that players are parsing, and not all early leaks match what has been shown in the official index. What is clear is that the mechanic is no longer just a passive escalation and now requires active management.
Combat Patrol
The new Drukhari Combat Patrol is built around the Haemonculi Coven, with wracks and grotesques at the core. This highlights the faction’s horror and experimentation side. At the same time, the Realspace Raiders Battleforce is available for those who want the fast raider and kabal style. Between these two sets, players can enter the army from very different angles.
Miniatures
The faction’s aesthetic remains strong.
- Lady Malice: An elegant but dangerous new character who stands out in Drukhari society.
- Archon: A new sculpt that replaces the old static pose with something more fitting for a leader.
- Coven units: Grotesques and wracks keep up the gruesome body-horror themes the army is known for.
Wrap Up
The Drukhari codex update changes how the army plays. Pain Tokens now work as a central resource, Combat Patrol shifts to highlight the Coven, and the Realspace Raiders box keeps the classic raiding builds alive. The community is still working out the balance side, but visually and thematically the Drukhari remain one of the most distinctive forces in Warhammer 40,000.
